Firmware Updates

Metz FirmwareSelect Metz system flashes allow you to update the firmware using your PC or Mac.

Metz routinely updates the firmware of their flashes to address compatibility issues with newer cameras as they are released. These updates usually follow 6-8 weeks after the release of the new camera. You can find out what firmware is required for each camera with this Compatibility Chart [pdf].

To update your firmware, you will need a mini or micro USB cable (sometimes supplied with your camera) and a set of fully charged batteries. (USB cables are NOT supplied with any Metz flash)

Here you can find the current firmware for flash units with USB socket.
