Product Announcements – Metz mecablitz 44 AF-2

Metz 44 AF-2Markham, ON, March 10, 2016:

Metz-Mecatech has released an update to one of their most popular flashes – the Metz 44 AF-2. Available now for Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Sony, FujiFilm, Samsung and Olympus/Panasonic/Leica camera systems.

Metz has taken the best of the 44 AF-1 – a Guide Number of 44 at ISO, 105mm and 5 easy to use buttons – and added some of the most sought-after features: a metal hotshoe, high speed sync (HSS) capability and a 4-level LED video light.

The metal hotshoe* creates a more solid connection with your camera while increasing durability. High speed synchronization (HSS/FP) allows photographers to use their flash at higher shutter speeds than normal, if their camera is equipped with an HSS/FP** function. This allows for more use of the flash as a fill-in flash in bright light or backlit situations. The built-in LED video light has a maximum output of 100 lux @ 1m and is dimmable by four (4) levels.

Standard features remain, including tilt/swivel reflector head, automatic motorized zoom for 24-105mm illumination, integrated wide angle diffuser and reflector card, full TTL capability, Manual mode with 4 levels, automatic fill-in flash, 1st and 2nd curtain synchronization, AF assist beam**, USB port for firmware updates and easy one-touch Wireless Slave function.**

*not available on Sony mount

**FujiFilm wireless, HSS and AF Assist may be available via firmware update in the future.
