New firmware updates for Olympus/Panasonic versions of Metz flash units available online free of charge from Metz service.
Zirndorf – Many enhancements have been made to the Metz mecablitz 26 AF-1, 52 AF-1 and 64 AF-1 flash units for Olympus/Panasonic cameras:
The pre-flash for red-eye reduction has been improved and the adjustment options via the camera menu have been modified.
The compatibility with the Olympus OMD EM1 has been enhanced. The master function of the model 52 AF-1 has been improved, to enable manual flash mode. Furthermore, the standby function of the device has been optimized.
The master function of the top-of-the line model 64 AF-1 has also been improved, to enable manual flash mode for the Olympus OMD EM1. In addition, the flash exposure correction in automatic flash mode is now adjustable from the camera. The firmware can easily be transferred to the corresponding flash unit via USB interface.
